What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a simple, emerging standard: a plain-text file at the root of your site that gives large language models a clean, curated map of your most important pages. Where robots.txt tells crawlers what they may access, an llms.txt file tells AI engines what actually matters and how to describe it.
The format is small on purpose: a title, a short summary, optional detail, then grouped lists of links with a note on each. The live preview above is a working llms.txt example you can copy or adapt. It also helps you get understood and cited by AI answer engines, not just ranked by Google.
